Snow Accumulation Totals and Snowfall Totals New Jersey

Snow accumulation totals were clearly major when I woke up this morning.  With the Snow Storm East Coast and State of Emergency still going on, I could not wait to check the snow accumulation totals.  It seems the snowfall totals New Jersey are staggering!

Here in Long Island, New York, my children checked the snow accumulation totals personally.  After bagels for breakfast, they geared up on snow suits, scarves, gloves, hats and sunglasses.  They dove into the snow, which is up to their thighs!

I visited CNN and found out all the major New York airports were open this morning including JFK and LaGuardia. The Long Island Railroad is running limited service with several branches experiencing suspended service.  I also discovered snowfall totals New Jersey were huge with 24 inches in Medford, New Jersey.

So what about snow accumulation totals in New York?  Currently it is 23 degrees but feels like 9 degrees.  Newsday reports snow accumulation totals of 15 to 20 inches and the snow it still falling.

The kids are outside with their friends now, exploring the snow accumulation totals themselves by creating snow forts, throwing snow balls and building snow people.  I wonder if there will be school tomorrow (of course the kids are hoping it will be canceled).

While I was dreaming of a White Christmas, this is a little extreme!  I wonder when the snow will finally stop falling…so I can finish my Christmas shopping.  Either way, I’m glad to be in New York when I see the snowfall totals New Jersey.

Meanwhile, here is a YouTube video of Winter Wonderland performed by Ozzy Osbourne and Jessica Simpson:
