South Korean rapper PSY, known for his viral hit Gangnam Style, is the subject of a hilarious parody video created by U.S. Naval Academy sailors. Are you familiar with this new and wildly popular dance mode?
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the rapper has garnered droves of fans in the U.S. following his video that has nearly 2 million hits.
Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun took notice of the Gangnam Style rapper, and now represents him, too. It’s plain to see what Braun did for Justin Bieber. Will this South Korean rapper soon know the same kind of success?
For now his dance style is the subject of parodies on late night TV and on YouTube. SNL featured a fantastic parody this past Saturday night, with a surprise visit from the real Gangnam Style star at the end. Now the U.S. Naval Academy boys have done their own spoof of the rapper and his song, and it’s probably the best YouTube parody since Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe. Remember the spoofs of that tune over the summer?
