Thank God another Iron Man movie is coming out, because this year’s summer blockbusters will not include Spiderman 4.
The cancellation was announced by Columbia Pictures and director Sam Raimi. The two sides fought over the script and which villians should be used in the movie. At last check, I heard it was supposed to be the Vulture.
Columbia has also parted ways with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. Supposedly the studio wants to do a picture focusing more on Peter Parker during his high school years. Didn’t we get a glimpse of that in the first Spiderman movie anyhow?
Dumb move Columbia. What sounds better, watching Spidey battle Vulture above the Manhatten skyline, or peering in on an insecure teenager who pops his zits and fantasizes about girls who won’t give him the time of day?
