Squatter Found in Ann Curry’s $2.9 Million Townhouse

The Today Show’s Ann Curry was rather disturbed when she learned a squatter had been living in her $2.9 million townhouse. When the man was asked about whether or not he knew who owned the residence, his reply wasn’t especially cordial either.

According to a report from Us Magazine, Curry and her husband Brian Ross had purchased the townhouse back in 2003 and it was under renovations until a Buildings Department violation halted work on the place.

“Ann Curry means crap to me!” the homeless man shouted, refusing to give his name or age. “The reason I lived there was because they chased me out of Central Park.”

While squatting is illegal in New York, the situation will undoubtedly cause some conflicting emotions for Ann Curry. She certainly wouldn’t want a homeless man living on her property, but given her kind and gentle manner, undoubtedly finds it disturbing that people like him have no place to go.

The homeless man did say that he had been living in Ann Curry’s home for about a year.

“I’ve been living there for about a year now,” he said. “I’m not a drug addict; I just don’t have a place to sleep.”

And that is the truly sad part of this unfortunate story. It will be interesting to see if Ann Curry makes mention of this situation or the plight of the homeless on the Today Show in the coming days.
