There may have been strange sounds heard around the world, but don’t blame Tech N9ne’s Strange Music label, yet. The rapper and various acts from his label will soon indulge fans with a 99-day concert series called “Hostile Takeover 2012.”
Lately, strange creatures and sounds have had many people perplexed. However, the unique sounds from Tech N9ne have an easy explanation, as he’s one of the most underrated rappers in the game today. He also has several acts on his label he’s looking to showcase in front of the world. They include Krizz Kaliko, Mayday, Prozak and Stevie Stone, part of the Strange Music Imprint label. There won’t be any UFOs on the set, but there will be MGK, Machine Gun Kelly of Bad Boy.
These acts will look to perform a hostile takeover of a variety of major cities including NYC, LA, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Vegas, Baltimore and Dallas. It’s 90 shows in 99 days, making for one grueling concert series for Tech N9ne and crew. It seems the rapper is up for the challenge and will look to expand his venture even further with this extra exposure.
When asked about his Strange Music label, the rapper said he began “planting the seeds” for it to expand 10 years ago. He noted:
“We started Strange Music so we could make the music we wanted to make and tour like we wanted to tour. Now, to be able to make history like this is a wonderful accomplishment.”
Call it strange sounds, weird noises, or strange music. This hostile takeover won’t necessarily involve any UFOs or alien beings, but the unique sounds of Tech N9ne and the other acts. This is set to be one of the most historic tours in the genre of hip hop, and who knows maybe some surprise guests will show up along the way, for some close encounters of the human kind.
The concert series will have its official dates announced in the near future, even as strange sounds continue to be heard around the world. Will you be getting tickets to see Tech N9ne’s “Hostile Takeover 2012″ tour?
