Sugarland Responds to Stage Collapse

Country duo known as Sugarland have tweeted about the tragic stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair. Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush (the two singers in the band) were not physically hurt.

Before the duo tNettles and Bush of Sugarland at 2007 MyCoke Fest in Atlantaook the stage Saturday night, part of the stage rigging collapsed, killing five people and injuring over forty. This is not something anyone expects to happen at the local fair (a ferris wheel accident is more fathomable), and the tragedy has made nationwide headline news. Sugarland has asked for prayers during this difficult time.

“We are all right. We are praying for our fans, and the people of Indianapolis. We hope you’ll join us. They need your strength,” they wrote on Twitter and their website. While Nettles and Bush are definitely thankful that they were not on the stage at the time of its collapse, they are hurting for their fans and the people who were at the fair.
