Sunil Tripathi’s Body Likely Found

Sunil Tripathi’s body was likely found, bringing a possible end to the search that’s lasted longer than a month. This also comes after the young man was falsely accused of being the Boston Marathon bomber, so it’s certain that the missing student’s family is going through a heartbreaking and anxious time right now.

This undated photo released by Brown University on March 23, 2013 shows Brown University student Sunil Tripathi. If the body is identified positively, how did he die? It was earlier reported that Sunil Tripathi was going through a tough time, and might have been suicidal. On the other hand, there are always possibilities of foul play.

The body was found in India Point Park in Providence, Harbor—and the identification could be made available as early as Wednesday. Once he is identified (if the body belongs to Sunil), investigators can move on to the next chapter (if foul play is suspected).

Sunil Tripathi’s family deserves more than an apology from the Reddit group who falsely accused the missing man of being the Boston bomber. They deserve for the young man to have never had disappeared. Even beyond an identification they will likely have questions that remain unanswered.
