Tanning mom Patricia Krentcil, will not be indicted for allegedly letting her 5-year-old daughter get “burn marks” from a tanning booth. Last year, she was arrested on suspicion of letting a child under 14 use a tanning bed, part of New Jersey’s child endangerment laws. A grand jury agreed there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Krentcil. Assistant Essex County Prosecutor Gina Iosim said, “The grand jurors voted not to indict Mrs. Krentcil. We respect their decision.”

The media had a field day over the case, in particular, about Krentcil’s shocking appearance. Even though she is only 44 years old, her skin has aged dramatically from constant tanning, so bad that it actually resembles leather.

Last August, the tanning mom went for an entire month without any tanning, real or fake, in exchange for a photo shoot. What a difference one short month made! She said, “Everyone says I look so much better less tan. I feel weird and pale.” It’s weird that she’s so addicted to tanning that she doesn’t even realize how bad it makes her look. An expert said that if someone is addicted to tanning, they release dopamine and serotonin each time they tan! Now that she is off the hook, she has all the time in the world to tan.
