Tastes Like Apple Pie

Here is a recipe that I’ve made a few times that is simple, fast, totally scrumptious and really does taste like apple pie.  I’ve also added a larger recipe that I found for families.

5 medium tart-sweet apples

3/4 cup brown sugar

A tblsp granulated sugar

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/3 cup butter(only butter) chilled and cubed

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup walnuts

How to make:

Heat oven to 350 degrees

Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish

In a bowl or food processor mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and butter to make a crumble topping

Chop the walnuts

Add walnuts to the crumble mixture and set aside

Core and seed apples

Lay apples on bottom of baking dish and sprinkle with granulated sugar then sprinkle with the crumble topping

bake for 30-35 minutes

Family recipe:

Grease 9×13 baking dish

1 cup flour

1 1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 stick butter

3/4 cup walnuts

2 tbsp granulated sugar

Sliced apples

Bake 45-55 minutes
