Taylor Swift Challenges Beyonce for Queen of Thanksgiving, Nabs Gyllenhaal, Must Be Stopped

Okay, Taylor Swift – enough is enough.

When she first appeared on the scene back in 2006, Taylor had a pretty adorable thing going with her whole band geek underdog gimmick, but since then, things have really spiraled out of control.  And not in the Britney or Lindsay way that we like, either.

When he crashed her acceptance speech at the VMAs, Kanye West may have unwittingly created a monster.  Since then, Swift has adopted this nauseatingly self-righteous stance where every man is a pig (except the one she’s currently rumored to be dating, Jake Gyllenhaal) and every other artist is out to get her.  Her latest competition is none other than the flawless, irreplaceable Beyonce Knowles, who was gracious enough to give Taylor her speech back in 2009.  Since then, Taylor performed “Innocent” at this year’s VMAs, basically condescending to forgive Kanye for his behavior through song, and released a ridiculously popular album Speak Now, which targets every personal relationship Swift has ever had.

Knowles and Swift both have Thanksgiving specials airing this year.  The Queen B will air on ABC starting at 9:30, while Taylor I’m-a-Victim-Please-Buy-My-Records Swift will be over at NBC, starting at 8:00.

Please do the right thing here, people.  Stop the Taylor Swift craze before she runs for public office or something.  Let’s remember that this is the girl who sings “Love Story,” which could be alternately titled “I Read a Book Once.”
