On the heels of record setting sales of her new album Speak Now and her American Music Award win last night for Best Country Female pop/country singer/songwriter Taylor Swift seems to be everywhere lately. She is also scheduled to appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight.

Taylor has graced the covers of numerous magazines recently including People, Parade and now the double holiday issue of Seventeen.

The December/January issue named Taylor the magazine’s Style Star of the Year (honorable mentions include High School Musical alum Ashley Tisdale, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Justin Bieber, all of whom were also big winners and/or nominees at last nights AMAs, as well as Gossip Girl star, Taylor Momsen, Disney Channel’s Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice, and the cast of the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars).

Most of the information in Carissa Rosenberg Tozzi’s article about Taylor is old news for fans, i.e. (her approach to songwriting, her past romances with Twilight star, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and John Mayer, and her famous friendships, both past and present, with some of the most famous actresses in young Hollywood today, like Emma Stone, Selena Gomez, (who also coincidentally or not, dated Taylor Lautner,) and  Demi Lovato (who also coincidentally or not, also dated Taylor’s former flame Joe Jonas.)

But if you can get past all the teen and twenty something dating drama what’s really stunning are the magazine’s photographs by Cliff Watts.  These beautiful photos make it clear that Taylor has definitely has her own sophisticated sense of personal style.  According to the article, the singer/songwriter has “landed a coveted Cover Girl contract, which solidifies her status as a major fashion and beauty icon” (53).

From the photos it’s clear why Taylor was named Seventeen’s Style Star of the Year.  In the photos Taylor looks lovely in garments by famous designers like Betsey Johnson, Cynthia Rowley, Reem Acra, and John Galliano.  The latest issue of Seventeen is further proof that Taylor Swift not only has musical talent but style as well.
