Teen Mom Jenelle Evans has admitted while filming a reunion episode that she smokes pot daily. Is she still considered a fit parent?
It’s no secret that Jenelle Evans isn’t currently in custody of her 1-year-old son Jace Evans, and it seems like she might not be, or at least not for a very long time.
While taping the reunion episode of Teen Mom 2, the nineteen-year-old mother admitted to smoking pot daily.
“She talked about how she will go for an hour and smoke and come back,” blogger Ashley Majeski told the New York Post. “At one point, she stormed off the stage and was like, ‘I need to smoke.’ “
This is after her October 2010 arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and breaking and entering. In addition to that, her current boyfriend Kieffer Delp is reportedly homeless and uses drugs as well.
What kind of environment is this for a child? Does Jenelle even care to get custody back of Jace? It sure doesn’t seem like it because any mom that wanted their child living with them again would come clean in order to provide them with the care and attention they rightfully deserve and need. Instead she’s clearly proud of her marijuana use.
To make matters worse, her violent nature toward her mother happens when the cameras aren’t rolling. This, too puts poor Jace right in the middle of a violent battleground.
“Even when the cameras aren’t rolling they are very volatile and argumentative,” Majeski says.
Giving birth to a child does not solely make someone a mother. It’s being there for them, caring for them and keeping yourself clean and on the right path that makes you a mother. She’s a teenager, there’s no doubting that, but she’s in no way shape or form a mother.
Do you think that Jenelle will clean up her act and be the mother that Jace needs her to be? Weigh in below.
