The first time Amber’s violence aired on the show was during season one, when Amber was upset with Gary for the way he spoke to her father.

The second instance recorded by MTV cameras was during season two of “Teen Mom” when Amber hit, punched and kicked Gary Shirley when he implied that Amber is a bad mom and threatened to call Child Protective Services on her.

The charges against Amber were brought forth by investigators. They have referred the case to the District Attorney who will decide whether to press formal charges. It is unusual for the charges to be dropped in a case like this. If the D.A. files charges against Amber, a warrant will be issued for her arrest.

According to a report filed by an investigator on the case, a third instance of violence occurred between Gary and Amber but never aired on MTV.  Amber and Gary were involved in another argument when Amber slapped Gary in the face.  Amber then got into a “fighter’s stance” and proceeded to punch Gary several times in the face.  The couple’s daughter, Leah, was in the room at the time.  You can read the entire report here.

Amber’s life has spun out of control. Not only does she have a violent temper, but she is also on medication for depression and anxiety issues. Leah, now lives exclusively with Gary Shirley after Amber complained that there was too much paparazzi in front of her home.

Maybe this is exactly what Amber needs. She needs to grow up and take responsibility for her actions. She will soon learn that domestic violence is no joke and it is not acceptable behavior, under any circumstances. Maybe a little stint behind bars will force her to realize that the world does not revolve around her.

Amber and Gary have been broken up for some time and have been living apart. Their relationship was extremely toxic and was a bad environment to raise a child. MTV is currently filming season three of “Teen Mom,” but Gary and Amber’s scenes are all done separately. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out when season three debuts on MTV.
