The Bachelorette for 2012, Emily Maynard, is very close to choosing her man and will do so by month’s end. But first, she had to winnow down the final three contenders–Jef, Arie, and Sean–to the final two, and then finally to the one who will take her heart and give her a ring.
But first things first.
This week she was able to go out on fantasy dates with each of the guys. This happened in Curacao during a show that allowed each guy to spend a good amount of time in a number of situations with their special woman.
For instance, Jef Holm went on a dream date with Emily that took them off the main island to tiny Kleine Knip, a secluded beach the locals call Castaway Island. Their mode of transportation was via the Insulinde, a luxurious vintage vessel that would make anyone swoon.
During their day, Jef tells Em that his siblings had spoken to their parents about how much they really enjoyed meeting The Bachelorette. Before the verdict was in, this had been a fear of hers as expressed before she showed up on the family ranch while mom and dad were in the deep South dealing with something having to do with the Mormon church.
And so, this sweet man who is in love with Emily was now free to let out his feelings without fear that the clan would disapprove. He did that back in Utah, while in Curacao he asked a lot of serious questions about the woman with whom he had declared his love.
In turn, Emily talked to Jef about a lot of things, including how she feels he would be as a stepfather to her daughter, Ricki. The two recall all their dates together, and then he asks one very big question: Where would she want to live if he is the one for her. It seems Salt Lake City may be in the offing. No matter what, Maynard certainly doesn’t seem tied to living in Charlotte forever after.
At this point, Emily finally admits that she sees the two together, even claiming that she knows he loves her “in a way no one else does.”
And, to cement his feeling for her, Jef tells the woman in front of him in plain English, “I plan on spending every night with you in our own fantasy suite.”
So, while the fantasy suite that The Bachelorette Emily Maynard was privy to with Jef Holm allegedly did not play out in any love-making, if the 2012 member of this popular TV reality show does pick Jef (and pundits believe she does), then the two will have many do-overs in their future.
Stay tuned for more drama on The Bachelorette 2012 for the next two weeks in a row on ABC.
