Emily Maynard opened up on how things went with the men on Monday’s episode of The Bachelorette 2012. The star of season 8 posts a weekly blog each Tuesday morning on PEOPLE’s website.
On the June 4 episode, Emily talked to a shy Jef, tried to get Doug comfortable enough to let his guard down, and felt bad letting Nate go after the 2-on-1 date which included John.
What are Emily’s thoughts on how the show went with each of these men after their dates?
Emily’s post on Doug’s 1-on-1 date:
“During dinner I really wanted to see if there was a side to Doug that I could relate to, because I’m obviously not perfect. It wasn’t until he turned it around on me and asked what my biggest faults are that I realized it’s not easy to be put on the spot like that. I immediately felt bad! God knows I could go on and on about all of my flaws, but it’s hard when you’re also trying not to scare your date off.”
Another scene on The Bachelorette 2012 was Emily taking Jef aside on the group date, Emily wasn’t sure why he didn’t make a move by trying to kiss her. She and Jef strolled on the beach before sitting near the water.
Emily wrote in her blog, “What a perfect place for us to have our first kiss!” Clearly he wasn’t thinking the same thing! Everything else with Jef and me came so easily, so I couldn’t figure out why he still hadn’t tried to kiss me. I hoped giving him one more group date rose would let him know that I had a huge crush on him and that he better make a move soon.”
For the 2-on-1 date with Nate and John, Emily shared there was something viewers didn’t see.
“As great as Nate was, there was a moment you didn’t get to see where Nate sang Meatloaf to me and asked what I ‘wouldn’t do for love.’ As funny and odd as it was, I realized we had very little in common and we probably weren’t the best fit for each other.”
Next week’s blog by Emily Maynard will be juicy after she tells one of the contestants to get out after criticizing her daughter!
