‘The Bachelorette': Ryan Bowers is ‘Glad That It’s Over’

The Bachelorette with Emily Maynard finally saw the elimination of early fan favorite, Ryan Bowers, in the last episode. While the man had started out as the favorite from the men to win Emily’s heart, he stuck his foot in his mouth one too many times, and Emily couldn’t take it anymore. The pro trainer has now opened up about his experience and the way he was portrayed by the ABC series.

He makes it clear in a new interview with WJBF that he was not portrayed fairly on the series, but he did enjoy his time on the series. Bowers said the following:

“I think it’s a little bit of a relief. I enjoyed watching the shows, some were good for me and some they were really kind of pushing the envelope as far as who I really am and stuff, so some of that is a little bit more difficult to watch, but I’m glad that it’s over and now I can kind of talk a little bit more about things and how it was. I did enjoy my experience.”

Bowers did defend himself. The way he was shown on television was not completely the man he is. His faith is extremely important to him, and that was only shown some on the series. He said the following:

“So, I think if you took a look at what I saw, you see this dichotomy, you see one side you see me talking about my faith and stuff and then the other side you see someone who is cocky and arrogant. So, some of that is hard to watch because I know that when I was saying some of the things I was saying, I was talking about my faith.”

Ryan was definitely one of the more entertaining men on this season of The Bachelorette. He was cocky, and calling Emily a trophy wife was the final straw for her. How the words he said could be related to his faith is puzzling. Calling someone a trophy wife is not the nicest thing to say. It is definitely old-fashioned thinking.

What do you think? Were you sad to see Ryan Bowers go?
