The Boondocks is Back: Season 3 Episode One Premiered Last Night (Teaser Video)

Its been more than two years since an original episode of the controversial Adult Swim comedy was aired.  Last night that changed with the season three premiere of The Boondocks.  The episode titled: “It’s a Black President, Huey Freeman” has surely earned as much buzz as the show itself has.  And while I found out about the premiere too late to catch it for its first airing, I look forward to seeing what I missed.

For those of you that don’t know anything about The Boondocks, the show is an adaptation of a comic strip, and originally aired back in November of 2005.  It’s a show that has become known for its social satire that has offended some people.  The plots for the show center around three main characters and their interactions with the people surrounding them.  Those characters are 10-year old Huey Freeman, his brother (8-year old Riley Freeman), and their grandfather Robert.

Just in case the title didn’t give it away, the season premiere is about the 2008 Presidential Election and how some black people followed Obama blindy, simply because he was black.

Here is a glimpse at part of the episode.  The Boondocks airs at 11:30 on Sunday Nights on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.
