The Grassroots Movement That Isn't – Tea Parties

You know, for such a grassroots movement, there seems to be a lot of corporate and lobbyist money funding the gristmill. Faux, FreedomWorks, Dick Armey. Pretty shallow roots, if you ask me, but then, this is the party that flew congressional staffers down to Florida to muscle a county out of recounting votes in 2000, and rough up Democratic representatives, presenting them as a grassroots movement, too. Well, all except for the free plane tickets, luxury hotel rooms, and big after bash, all funded by the not so rooted movers and shakers of the party. I don’t think this is going to make the grass any greener in Republicanville, either, but good luck with that. No roots, but lots of rot.
