In the finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, underlying tensions boil over when the cast finds out what Teresa has said about certain members of the Manzo family in her latest cookbook.
Since the Giudices and Gorgas have mended their relationship, Teresa decides to have a family portrait taken with her family, her parents and the Gorgas. Of course the Gorgas agree because they think that the feud is over and everyone is in a good place now.
Ashley’s back in the picture after having been pretty much absent since the big blowout between her and Jacqueline earlier in the season and it’s pretty much the same story. Jacqueline asks Chris’s brother Jamie to visit and have a talk with Ashley. Jamie shows up and Ashley must show him the tattoos she got while Jacqueline and Chris were in Punta Cana. The discussion leads to Jamie asking Ashley some reasonable questions about her wanting to move to California. As usual, Ashley really can’t answer, starts crying and leaves the room.
Kathy and Rich’s daughter is getting ready for the prom. Victoria is 17 and Kathy realizes her “baby” is becoming a woman. Kathy helps Victoria get ready and as the couple leave for the prom, Kathy breaks down in tears.
The last half of The Real Housewives of New Jersey finale focuses on the release of Teresa’s cookbook, Fabulicious. People are not pleased to say the least. Apparently Teresa wrote some things about Caroline, Christopher and Melissa in her cookbook introduction. About Caroline, Teresa basically says, “Caroline is as Italian as the Olive Garden,” and Teresa still loves her even though, “Caroline is only 1/16 Italian or whatever she is.” Teresa makes reference to Christopher’s strippers at the car wash idea from Season 1, saying that she doesn’t condone it. Teresa also says in her cookbook that her baby sister-in-law copies her incessantly, from her shoes right on down to the chairs on her front porch, but she doesn’t say specifically which sister-in-law she is talking about. Melissa is pretty sure Teresa is talking about her, though.
Caroline says in her confessional she’s disappointed with the things Teresa said about her in the cookbook, but she’s really peeved that Teresa took shots at Christopher, her child. When Jacqueline tries to talk to Teresa about what’s in the cookbook, Teresa says it was just a joke and starts getting angry when Jacqueline doesn’t see that she didn’t mean anything by it. Jacqueline says in her confessional that she and Teresa have a different view of loyalty.
Even though this was the finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, things really heat up next week on the first part of the reunion special. Fans can catch The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion on Sunday, October 16th at 10 p.m. EST on Bravo.
