In Episode 16 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, it’s Gia who seems to bring an end to the Giudice vs. Gorga feud, but is it really over?
The women are getting ready for a 5K charity run. They have a week left before heading off on vacation and Caroline seems to think participating in the 5K will get her in shape. Teresa meets up with Jacqueline and Caroline at Jacqueline’s house and fills the two women in on what happened between her and Joey G. at her book signing. Caroline says the feud between Joe Giudice and Joey Gorga is what’s hindering the mending of Teresa and Joey G.’s relationship. Teresa is inviting the Gorgas to Milania’s fifth birthday party, so Caroline thinks it’s a good idea for Teresa to call Melissa to ask Melissa to get Joey G. to behave at the birthday party. Caroline insists Teresa call Melissa in front of her and Jacqueline so they can hear what’s going on.
Teresa calls Melissa and the two are at odds from the get-go about which Joe started the text war before the book signing that aired in the last episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Teresa tells Melissa she wants her brother at Milania’s birthday party and to please talk to him. Caroline says the hatred between Teresa and Melissa is unbelievable.
On the way to the 5K run, Teresa tries to talk to Joe about being nice and getting along with family since everyone, including Joey G., Melissa and the Wakiles, will be at the run. Joe says he’s not the one who started the trouble, that it’s Joey G. and Melissa. Although Joe makes a snide comment about Joey G. before the run, the event seems to go off without a hitch.
Melissa and Joey G. visit the Manzo brothers at their apartment. After listening to the CD of Melissa’s song “On Display,” the Manzos ask Melissa if she’ll perform at their upcoming launch party in New York. Never one to turn down an offer of being the center of attention, Melissa agrees to do it.
This episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey shows that maybe Teresa is finally realizing the severity of her financial state. Instead of throwing an over-the-top, expensive birthday party, Teresa decides to save money by throwing Milania and her friends a pizza party at her and Joe’s pizzeria. Gia gives Milania a surprise birthday present she wrote for her. After singing Milania’s song, Gia says she has another song to sing just for her mom and Uncle Joey. Gia starts to sing, but breaks down crying and has to start over. The song Gia wrote lays out for her mom and uncle how their fighting is affecting her, that she worries about what will happen next.
In her confessional, Caroline says this little girl is screaming for this feud to end. Kathy adds in her confessional that sometimes it takes a child to show adults when things are wrong. Although the words aren’t spoken, after Gia sings her song it seems as if the two Joes decide to put an end to the feud. Rich tells the two to kiss and make up, but the two Joes shake hands. Is this really the end of the Giudice vs. Gorga feud finally?
