Prince William and Kate Middleton snubbed the Obamas and did not invite them to their royal wedding. President Obama and wife Michelle did not make the guest list of Prince William and Kate Middleton. This is extraordinary, but not a big surprise.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate Middleton snubbed the Obamas and other heads of state. The Prince and soon to be Princess are heirs to the throne of England, but one can expect a lot of changes from the normal protocol. The couple wants the guest list to include regular people, and they don’t want this to be an affair of state. How do you feel about the young royal couple snubbing our President?

It sounds like Prince William and Kate Middleton are taking up were Princess Diana left off when she died. Princess Diana’s memory is almost sacred, as she seemed to care more about regular people than she did for royal protocol.

Royal Wedding

The Royal Wedding is to take place on April 29, 2011, and the world awaits the Prince and his bride eagerly. Everyone is buzzing about the dress that Kate Middleton will wear, and other wedding details, but this snub of President and Mrs. Obama is somewhat of an affront.

The Daily Mail reports, “Because Prince William is not yet heir to the throne, his wedding to Kate Middleton is not classed as a ‘state occasionÂ’ – and the couple feel under no pressure to fill the 2,000-strong guest list with heads of state, the Mail understands.”

While they have every right to invite whom they wish, it does come, as a bit of surprise that of all the VIPs to get the royal snub, one would think the Obamas would make the top of the list. What do you think of this snub?
