If she wants to get back to being anywhere near on the group’s good side, it’s going to take something big—and not just an apology, as seen in the Vampire Diaries season 4 episode 3 sneak peek for “The Rager” (below).

First of all, Rebekah doesn’t exactly start off the conversation the right way. When you almost killed a guy, you don’t begin by inviting him to a party. In fact, her apology attempt isn’t even much of an apology. She instead tries to explain her actions by saying Alaric had killed her brother and was trying to kill her, so she had to do something. She tells him, “I never wanted to hurt you,” but she never mentions anything about Elena (which isn’t surprising) and she never actually says the words “I’m sorry.” Of course he’s not going to answer her before walking away.
