‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 4 Preview: New Comic-Con Promo Teases Stefan-Damon Confrontation

The Vampire Diaries was one of the many television series that had a panel at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, and for the panel, they brought along a new promo with some footage from the upcoming fourth season, teasing what’s coming.

When season 3 ended, Elena had forced Stefan to save Matt first after their car went off the bridge. However, she had vampire blood in her at the time, and season 4 is going to see her a vampire. Meanwhile, Klaus is in Tyler’s body after Bonnie did a spell that saved everyone, and there’s going to be some major fallout from everything coming this fall.

The new The Vampire Diaries season 4 promo (below) begins with a look at the car going off the bridge, followed by clips from over the series, including Elena asking Stefan what the best and worst parts of being a vampire are. Clips recap what happened and Elena saying, “I was supposed to grow up…I don’t want to be a vampire.” That’s all about to change, no matter how much she didn’t want it. That includes a confrontation between Stefan and Damon, and you know that’s going to be good. It always looks it with only a part of the scene in the preview. Stefan protests, “I never meant for her to die.” He had planned to rescue Elena next after she made him save Matt first. He was just too late. Damon is not going to be a happy vampire, and Stefan’s not the only one who will be facing his anger (Matt will be as well).
