‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 4 Spoilers: A Death and a Flashback

Vampire Diaries Season 4 Spoilers

According to TVLine, while there is a death coming up, the victim isn’t who everyone’s going to talk about. That’s “who does the killing.” With Elena becoming a vampire, it’s impossible not to wonder if she could be the one who kills this person. She is going to be a new vampire and will have to learn to control the desire for blood. Yes, Elena’s compassionate and everyone’s saying that with her emotions being heightened by the transition, that should come out more. But could she still lose it a bit and kill someone—especially if say, that person is going after someone she loves—in the first episode as she adapts to being a vampire?

Meanwhile, Julie Plec teases that The Vampire Diaries season 4 episode 4 will feature a flashback that reveals a “big secret that will change the course of the season for everybody.” Previously released spoilers had revealed that the flashback goes back 900 years and reveals more about Rebekah. With this focus on Rebekah, could it be that she’s the one their bloodline leads back to and not Klaus? That is always possible because it’s not like Klaus is Mr. Honesty. However, it could be a list of possibilities revealed about the past, especially since there is still plenty of mystery about the Originals. Rebekah is sticking around, but it’s not going to be easy for her, considering the role she played in Elena becoming a vampire. Could that change with whatever’s revealed in this season and what sides people end up on with the vampire hunter coming to Mystic Falls?
