Vampire Diaries Season 4 Spoilers

Alaric is gone (though he could still show up as a ghost to Jeremy, but no more drinking with Damon), and that’s something Damon is going to have to deal with. According to Ian Somerhalder, “I think it’s not gonna be easy for Damon, I mean the loss of any great friend is not easy and I don’t think Damon’s gonna be any exception to that rule. They had a full-on bromance, and even though Damon was a complete asshole sometimes, this was his only friend in the world.” Then again, this is The Vampire Diaries, so anything could happen. Still, this is something that is going to affect him, and Somerhalder did admit, “I think it’s gonna be a little difficult for him to let anyone in.”

Well, he could always just take his frustrations out on someone else, and Matt is looking like a prime target for him. Damon is not going to be happy with the human, who is alive because Elena told Stefan to save him first, for the role he played in what happened. Somerhalder teased, “Matt’s gonna have a tough year. I’m not kidding you. Matt’s gonna have a really tough year. I feel bad for Matt actually. …He’s not gonna have a very good year.” Poor Matt. Here’s to hoping he survives another season.
