‘The Walking Dead’ Season 3 Spoilers: Is Carl’s Innocence Gone for Good?

He becomes a very, very effective, strong part of the group. He’s no longer the young child who needs to be cared for and who needs to be minded. That Carl is gone.” It was bound to happen eventually, and with everything they’re about to face—moving to the prison, the Governor’s introduction—and with those they’ve lost—Shane and Dale, and Andrea’s off with Michonne, though they assume her dead—they’re going to need everyone they can to kill walkers.

The Walking Dead season 3 is gearing up to be the most exciting season yet, especially with everything coming up, especially Merle’s return. It’s unclear which side he’ll end up on, especially since it’s looking like he could be with the Governor. Carl’s going to need to defend himself, and even if they don’t want him to, Rick and Lori are going to need to accept that he may need to carry a gun from now on.
