Daniel Goddard’s character Cane on The Young and the Restless is scheduled to memorize some lengthy scripts as the month of May draws to a close. Fans of the top rated drama fought in droves to bring Goddard back from the dead when he was recently fired by the show at the beginning of this year and their efforts paid off.
On May 26th, fans of The Young and the Restless will discover that Cane has a twin brother named Caleb. All reports show that Caleb is the “evil” twin–a not so original plot twist–but one that is a signature of the sudsers, so fans will live with that one.
We all know Lily (Christel Khalil) has been hanging out with a ghostly version of Cane who was shot and killed in front of eye witnesses back in February. Fans didn’t want Goddard to return as a mere ghost but his scenes at this point show that is exactly what he is because Lily is the only one who can see him. Lily has begun to believe there is something seriously wrong with her, and face it, if you were hanging out with your dead husband, you might just feel the same way.
Well, on the May 31st episode of The Young and the Restless, viewers will learn Cane never died despite the fact that we all saw him go down in a hail of bullets. Details of Caleb’s sister Selena will also factor into this episode. With Genie Francis (who will debut on the May 27th episode) in the role of Genevieve Atkinson, Caleb’s mother, things should get interesting. But, what will all this do to Lily?
Lily’s fragile mental health may take time to resolve as the twins twist unfolds. What are your thoughts on Cane actually being alive? You think Goddard is up for this “double duty” task? Start the conversation below and share your thoughts.
