My Debt Forever Paid

I was born imperfect

I tried to do my best

No matter how I tried

There was always a test

Ecclesiastes 3:1

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

1 Corninthians 15:53

For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

Would have, could have, should have

Deep regrets did last

Brought me down to a place

Of desolation – fast

Galatians 5:1

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Isaiah 43:18, 19

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

In misery and pain

With so much I didn’t know

I found God does love us

We learn aswell we grow

2 Corinthians 7:10

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Colossians 1:6

which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,

He was with me all along

He knew my heart inside

He sent me back to life

Joyfultears I have cried

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Through our dear Lord Jesus

Forever forgiven

By our God of Love

As it was so written

Revelation 7:14

I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Though imperfect I am

I sought to learn His ways

Godguides me on His path

Helping me not to stray

Psalm 31:3

For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name’s sake you lead me and guide me

2 Peter 2:9

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

He lifts off my shoulders

So many burdens here

He gives me peace inside

Replacing all my fears

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I was born imperfect

What great love was displayed

Jesus died for my sins

My debt forever paid

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Titus 3:5

he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

We are all born imperfect. We all  fall short of the glory of God and we all sin. We regret our sins which leads us to go to God in repentance.  Jesus paid the price for our sins and we accept his gift. We are under grace when we are forgiven. The memory of our once being unforgiven sinners will always humbles us. Regret is a great burden we then no longer need to continue to carry as Jesus freed us. Sometimes the hardest part is then to forgive ourselves…

John 10:28

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
