Tim Tebow Crying and John 16 33

Tim Tebow crying made sports enthusiasts around the world speak up with mixed opinions.  Some watchers felt Tim Tebow crying was babyish while others thought it showed his dedication to football.  But why was Tim Tebow crying and what does it have to do with Bible verse John 16:33?

The Tim Tebow crying moment was caused by the Florida Gators loss to Alabama Crimson Tide in yesterday’s SEC Championship game.  With one minute left in the game and a score of 32-13, Tim Tebow started crying.

Watchers commented even John 16:13 could not prevent the Tim Tebow from crying.  Tim Tebow is know for writing a Bible verse in the black under his eyes before a game.  For this game, he used John 16:13 which reads as follows:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

It seems those tribulations caught up to this Florida University player, as evidenced by the Tim Tebow crying moment.  Do you think he will find peace even though he will not get to be in another National Championship with the Florida Gators?

Tim Tebow actually did well during the game, throwing a total of 247 yards.  What do you feel about a football player like Tim Tebow crying after his team loses?
