To Believers, Unbelievers & All In Between: What’s Your Problem With God?

Filed in Gather Life & Style Essential by on March 10, 2012 0 Comments

Hello to all my fellow Gather writers! I’m seeking input from as many individuals as I can, from a wide cross section of Internet readers, on a simple query that many elicit some very complex answers, or not. I’m in the process of writing a book titled “Making The Case For Undergod.” I’m not able to reveal much about the premise right now, but some of it will be based on the cumulative responses I receive from the general public. What I CAN say is that the intended audience is those who are perpetual truth seekers interested in what lies “beyond the veil.” A variety of topics not generally discussed or fully dealt with, even among most theologians and clergy, will be addressed by a colloquy of individuals who have traveled between realms and accessed higher degrees of knowledge that most people will find fascinating and be drawn to explore in depth.

So, do you have a problem with God, or many problems? This question is to any and everyone, whether you’re a believer or nonbeliever, and no matter what your religious affiliation(s) or cultural background may be. If you don’t believe there’s a god, why not? If you’re not sure, why not? If you believe, but just don’t like the god you envision, why not, and why do you envision god as you do? If it’s religious texts such as the bible you take issue with, what scriptures, events, or edicts bother or puzzle you? Maybe you’re just someone who’s confounded by something as basic as where Cain’s wife came from. That’s the kind of thing I’m looking for. Go off on a rant or a tangent if that suits you (though civil and thoughtful responses are preferred). Be as specific or non-specific as you like. The way one expresses their ideas in this case is just as important as content.

Thanks so much for your participation!
