33 years ago, my best friend and I decided that we wanted to spend the rest of our life together. We planned a small wedding with just immediate family. I thought it was the most beautiful day of my life.
A little over a year later, we gave birth to our first living daughter. I thought that was the most beautiful day of my life.
2 years later, we gave birth to our second living daughter. I thought that was the the most beautiful day of my life.
We did not know it at the time but we were not to have more children. We lost 4 babies before they had a chance to know what an amazing world this was.
In 1995, my husband, 2 daughters and I were sealed together in the Washington D.C. Temple for all time and eternity. I thought that was the most beautiful day of my life.
Since then I have have become a Grandparent and with each of my 4 Grand-children’s birth, I thought it was the most beautiful day of my life, only to find that there were still more to come.
I have had so many wonderful and beautiful moments in my life, there is no way I can say any one of them were/are the “best”. Each is special in its own unique way. I have a wonderful family. It all started 33 years ago when I married my best friend.
As you can see from the photos, my family are very close and have a lot of love. This tradition will live forever in the future generations. This is evident from the love in the eyes of all those in the photos.
Because of the opportunity that Heavenly Father has given us though being sealed in the Temple, those moments will never end. My life may be short here on this earth but this is not my home. It is a place to stay until I move forward to my permanent home, for all eternity, with Heaven Father, Jesus Christ and my family. My life will be fulfilled when we are all together, pain and stress free in our permanent home.
I have so much to be grateful for and such a wonderful family whom I love more than life itself. It may have started 33 years ago but it will continue throughout Eternity if I am worthy. I pray that I can be worthy when the day comes to be united with my family for eternity.
My life has been filled with trials. I now realize that throughout those trials, I have grown and hopefully become a better person. I can’t say that I have enjoyed these trials but I can say that they were necessary to make me humble when I got too cocky for my own good.
Happy Anniversary Roger. You are the love of my life and I will always love you with all my heart. You are a very special and Spiritual man. You make me want to be a better person. You give me the desire and strength to try harder. Together, there is nothing we can’t do.
(Please forgive the quality of my photos. Most are photos of photos and back then all photos were grainy to begin with. However these photos have lots of my memories locked into them.)
