A toddler was raped at Sea World in Orlando, Florida on February 17. Details of the rape were just released on Friday. A man is in custody for the rape, and pictures of the heinous crime were found on his cell phone.

According to a report from MSNBC, Michael Grzybowicz, 26, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, has been arrested for the crime.

The sheriff’s office in Brevard County, Florida, said pictures of Grzybowicz raping the toddler were found on his cell phone and had been sent to his email account as well. The mother of the toddler left her in Grzybowicz’s care while she went on an amusement ride with her boyfriend. All four had spent the day together at Sea World.

What kind of a sick person would rape a 2-year-old girl and photograph himself in the act? This is perversion at its vilest. A crime such as this one raises all kinds of questions that haven’t yet been answered in the press. Did the mother and boyfriend know this man or did they simply meet him at Sea World? If they knew him prior to the visit to Sea World, did they have enough information about him to leave the toddler in his care?

This is probably the most heinous kind of criminal there is. Anyone who would harm a child in this manner doesn’t deserve to ever again see the light of day. The physical and emotional repercussions this crime will have on this poor child are unfathomable. One can only hope and pray that she may be too young to remember the despicable act of violence.

Sea World issued the following statement regarding the toddler’s rape at its Orlando theme park.

“Nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of our guests, and our team members are trained to report any kind of suspicious behavior. Illegal behavior of any type is not tolerated at our parks. Our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.”
