Curtis’ wife Jill provided the eulogy for her husband of 16 years. The seven honorary pallbearers included Douglas, McGuire, Kerkorian, and longtime friend Gene Kilroy, according to RadarOnline.Com.
Curtis passed away on September 29TH in his Nevada home. His daughter Jamie Lee Curtis can be seen here wearing sunglasses, no makeup, and looking very sad. She said, “My father leaves behind a legacy of great performances in movies and in his paintings and assemblages,” she said in a statement. “He leaves behind children and their families who loved him and respected him and a wife and in-laws who were devoted to him. He also leaves behind fans all over the world. He will be greatly missed.”
Tony Curtis will be missed. Remembering him through the eyes of cinema will always keep him young, handsome, and strong. How sad it is that all must die.
The New York Times did a wonderful biography on Curtis about his tough childhood, and how he knew he was beautiful growing up in the Bronx. He took special care of his face as it was his ticket out of the Bronx.
He was such a beautiful looking man, and ironically, one of his most famous roles was as a man dressed up as a woman with Jack Lemmon in “Some Like It Hot.”
