Trace Adkins: Country Western Singer And…Comic Book Hero??

Filed in Gather Entertainment News Channel by on July 21, 2009 0 Comments

You heard right! Starting in November Trace Adkins will become the star of a four issue comic book series called “McBain”. “12 Gauge Comics” will feature a tough, Southern hero based on Adkins that goes by the name of Luke McBain. The publisher of the comic books says he has spent a lot of time with Trace to make sure the hero feels authentic. McBain is drawn to look like Trace and reflects some of his philosophy.

The storyline is something like this. Luke McBain returns home to rural small town Louisiana after serving 14 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He finds his home town grasped by greed and corruption, and he seems to be the only one with courage enough to set things right.

The publisher says that although the comic books contain some violence, they are suitable for all ages.  The first issue is scheduled to hit in November coinciding with Adkins fall tour.

Once an oil rigger, then Country Western star, even a contestant on “Celebrity Apprentice”, and now a Comic Book hero! Makes you wonder what else may be in store for Trace!
