I seem to be on a Trader Joe’s kick, huh?! What can I say? I love their products and everything is so reasonably priced!!
I never liked oatmeal. I don’t know why, but up until about a year ago, it just wasn’t my thing. Then I tried it (potentially this very version) and said “hmm. That’s pretty tasty.” Not all the time, but it’s a nice, warm treat.
And when my mom said that the TJ’s Apples & Cinnamon Instant Oatmeal was only 2 Weight Watcher Points per serving?? I was sold. I immediately grabbed a box and couldn’t wait to try it.
Now, the trick to most instant oatmeal is getting the consistency the way you like it. I tend to like it a bit on the thicker side. The package says to use 3/4 cup of water. I think I use about 2 tablespoons.
When I looked at it when it was ready, I thought “this is such a small portion. No way it’s going to fill me!” But it actually does. It’s quite a hearty snack/breakfast/what-have-you, all wrapped up in a tasty, not very pretty, filling treat!!
