Twitter goes to the Library of Congress, forever.

Twitter Tweets to be captured, collected and saved for future reference.   The Library of Congress has announced that they will be preserving all twitter tweets from all twitter users that contain 140 characters or less and place them in their vast archives.   Twitter founders are quite excited that it will have a place in history.

Many twitter users will now have to be careful what they say, unless of course they don’t mind having their tweets read by many generations of people in the distant future.  Gee, aren’t we lucky that tweets from the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Taylor Swift, and Britney Spears will be saved for our great grandchildren to see? And they shall be sharing the shelves for all eternity right next to the Gutenberg Bible, and A Tale of Two Cities.

And we like to call this progress?

As always, comments, questions and concerns are welcomed.
