The US Open tennis 2012 schedule resumes on Tuesday afternoon and evening with more matches shown live streaming online. Fans will be able to see several top players in action as the first round play of the tournament continues from Flushing, New York.
The US Open live stream games start at approximately 1PM EST on Tuesday via the WatchESPN website. Fans who have this free service in their region will be able to enjoy more of the first round of the tournament. Various stadiums and courts will be presented including action from Louis Armstrong Stadium and Arthur Ashe Stadium.
In Monday’s action, Maria Sharapova got past Melinda Czink despite her previous woes of a stomachache and blowout loss to Serena Williams in London. Sharapova defeated the Hungarian tennis star 6-2, 6-2, in what said to be a fine return to form. Sharapova talked about shaking off the effects of the loss to Serena, saying:
“It doesn’t stick with you. I mean, personally, I’ve been part of many different types of matches in my career. Looking back at that week, it was really special. It was so hectic.”
The US Open defending champion, Samantha Stosur, also got a victory, as expected. She defeated Petra Martic of Croatia in easy fashion, 6-1, 6-1. Marion Batoli, the #11 seed, and #9 Li Na also got opening round wins for the early games.
With more action continuing for the Tuesday US Open live streaming games, fans have to wonder if they’ll see more great performances. Sharapova has shown why she is among the best female tennis stars in the world after her recent victory, albeit in the opening round. It’s a testament to the fact that star athletes have the mental fortitude to shake off previous losses and issues to bounce back strong on their field, or court, of play.
