Vogue Photographer Says Kate Middleton Too Thin to Photograph

Most photographers would jump at the chance to work with Kate Middleton. For one photographer, however, she’s just way too thin for him. Famed Vogue and Vanity Fair photographer Terry O’Neill has photographed great beauties, such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Michelle Pfeiffer, during his long career. The Duchess of Cambridge is not likely to be included in this list any time soon.

Nah – I don’t think so. Why not? Because I don’t fancy her,” he said. “I mean that poor girl, Kate…What’s going to happen to her? Hopefully William will be king and she’ll be a new breed… And she does seem very together, but, well…too thin,” he said while shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders.

His concern for Kate Middleton arises from the fact that he had a good friendship with the late Princess Diana. While he never photographed her, he would have liked to since “she was getting freer and she was fanciable, you know? Like I say, as long as you fancy them, it’s fine. If you don’t: forget about it.”

So far, it doesn’t seem that Terry O’Neill has much reason to worry about Kate Middleton since Prince William seems to be treating her just fine. While she probably won’t be photographed by Terry O’Neill, she certainly isn’t at a loss for options.
