WBZ School Closings: Winter Snow Storm in Boston Update

WBZ school closings for Boston and surrounding areas are a hot topic of local discussion.  Turn to 10, Fox 25 News, and My Fox Boston warn residents and travelers to beware of an approaching winter snow storm predicted to bring up to 18 inches of snow.

Officials in and around the New England, Cape Cod, and metropolitan areas of Boston, Massachusetts are being very careful to take charge of an approaching winter snow storm that will pack a powerful punch, according to My Fox Boston.

Unlike the snow storm that devastated parts of the region in December, this storm will unlikely bring along hurricane-force winds.  Still, the national and local weather services are approaching the forecasting of the storm with caution.

WBZ says school closings in the area will be joined by a slew of business closings as the storm gets underway in the early morning hours before sunrise.  Once the snow begins, weather forecasters said not to expect it to let up until the afternoon and evening hours.

The good news is that coastal flooding will be at a minimum despite 18″ projected accumulations.

The Motley Post has provided the complete list via CBS Boston of all the WBZ school closings.
