So what channel is the Grammys on? That seems to be the top question as Sunday night brings the stars of music and entertainment to grace the red carpet.  Tonight marks the 52nd annual edition of music’s biggest awards show, the Grammy Awards 2010!  Tonight’s show on January 31, 2010 comes live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, starting at 8PM EST.  Some of the 2010 Grammy nominees include Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Black Eyed Peas in the major categories.  A special 2010 Grammy compilation album was released which features some of the best songs from nominated artists.  The Grammys will air tonight on CBS, while the NFL’s Pro Bowl, normally on CBS, will be aired on ESPN.

The Grammys just might be considered a “Pro bowl of music”, as the awards show features the biggest names in music competing for the most coveted awards.  Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Lady Gaga all have numerous nominations, with one of the acts likely to score big.  Many are predicting a big awards show for the young pop/country star, Taylor Swift, who had amazing record sales this past year.  But will Miss Swift be able to hold off tough competition from the likes of Beyonce and Lady Gaga?

The 2010 Grammy Awards will also feature a very special honorary presentation for Michael Jackson as well as the recently devastated land of Haiti.  The Michael Jackson tribute will feature a 3-D aspect of the performance as well as a rare appearance from the late singer’s children, who were also seen during his televised tribute concert after his passing.

So when your friends and family ask you what channel is the Grammys on, you’ll be ready to tell them CBS starting at 8PM.  However, you might have trouble telling them who will win which award.  Take a look at this year’s 2010 Grammy nominees and make your picks now, before the show starts in under 2 hours!  Enjoy!
