What’s for dinner? Allrecipes’ Alice chicken recipe

This recipe is adapted from my Allrecipes newsletter. It was sooo good!

  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard, plus extra for serving
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 small can sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  1. Place chicken in a large ziploc bag. Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce and turn bag to coat chicken well. Cover dish or bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 4.
  2. Brown bacon in a large frying pan. Drain; set aside.
  3. Heat butter in the same pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms, and saute for about 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, preheat oven to broil.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade, discarding any remaining marinade, and broil for about 10 minutes per side (cook time depends on thickness of chicken used). When chicken is almost finished, top each breast with 4 slices bacon, then sprinkle with cheese. Continue to broil til cheese has melted.
  6. Serve chicken over sauteed mushrooms and honey mustard on the side.
