Why Weren’t Lance Bass, Joey Fatone Invited to Justin Timberlake’s Wedding?

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s wedding is on the cover of People this week, and details about their nuptials are slowly coming out. JT reportedly only invited two of his former *NSync band mates, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick; the other two, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, weren’t on the guest list.

According to one report, Justin didn’t want to invite all four of his old band mates because he was worried that an N Sync reunion would overshadow the wedding — oh, and he also “hates” Lance. But why?

“I’m hearing that it has to do with Dancing With The Stars,” Lainey Gossip reports. “Rumour has it he was embarrassed by Lance and Joey being on the show. Supposedly he considered it low classy.”

Really? Dancing with the Stars is the reason? Not something legitimate like “we haven’t seen each other in a while and we aren’t that close anymore”? Not “the guest list was limited and we had to make some painful cuts”? Obviously Dancing with the Stars is pretty cheesy. But is it really a reason not to invite someone to your wedding? And how come that’s too “low classy” for Justin, but selling his wedding pictures to a tabloid isn’t? Sure, a lot of celebrities do that now, but JT’s reasoning on this seems pretty hypocritical. And if he’s so worried about appearing “low classy,” then maybe he shouldn’t have married Jessica, since Dancing with the Stars is where her career’s headed.

There could be a chance that Justin snubbed his old friends because he’s butt-hurt about allegations Lance made in his memoir, Out of Sync. In it, Lance calls out JT for the breakup of *NSync, claiming that Justin wanted a solo career but was dishonest and blamed the other band members for the split. Lance’s book came out five years ago, so maybe JT has forgiven and forgotten by now, or maybe he never cared in the first place. But if Dancing with the Stars really is the reason he didn’t invite his buddies to his wedding, that’s ridiculous.

What do you think? Should Justin Timberlake have invited Lance Bass and Joey Fatone to his wedding? Do you think Dancing with the Stars is “low classy”? Sound off in the comments!
