Will Mackenzie Foy make a good Renesmee in Twilight?

Apparently it’s official. Mackenzie Foy is signed on to play Renesmee in the upcoming installments of the Twilight Saga.

Although Foy could easily pass as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s child, she is actually nine years old. Since Renesmee is a newborn in the book (and gets older quickly, but not past age 3 or 4), it’s a little strange that they have cast a nine year old to play her.

It’s also probable that the studio will hire a younger child in some capacity, too” (Entertainment Weekly).

Foy does seem like a good choice for Renesmee (no one can discredit her looks), however this will be her first major motion picture, so it could go either way.

Ah, this is so exciting for Twilight fans!
