Did anyone win the Mega Millions jackpot? The January 8, 2013 Mega Millions numbers are 3, 20, 21, 38, 42, the Mega Ball number is 19, and the Megaplier number is X 4. The grand prize was for $47,000,000 but no one will be taking it home, not this time around anyway. The good news is the jackpot rolled over and is now worth $55,000,000 annuity, or $40,700,000 in cold hard cash—minus taxes of course!
Mega Millions Lottery Winners 1/8/2013
Although there were no jackpot winners for the January 8 drawing, there were plenty of high-tier Mega Millions winners. Five (5) Match 5 + 0 winners will be receiving checks for $250,000, unless they spent an extra dollar on the Megaplier option, which may entitle them to $1,000,000 prizes instead! The lottery winners bought their lucky tickets in Georgia, Nebraska, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Vermont.
There were also thirty-four (34) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. The lottery winners matched four out of five white Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize. If any of these winners purchased Megaplier tickets, their prize winnings may be increased from the standard $10,000 to $40,000. That’s a great return on their investment!
All together, there were 452,410 winning tickets sold for the January 8 drawing. Mega Millions winners will be receiving prize amounts between $2 and $250,000, with maybe even a few $1,000,000 Megaplier winners in the bunch!
