As reported here on Gather yesterday, WWE superstar John Cena injured his knee during a segment on last night’s broadcast on Raw. Today the 10-time champion headed to grand rapids and underwent an MRI scan, with some good results and not so good. However the results of the scan are unknown as of writing.
“MRI was typical good news bad news scenario. I’ve dealt with knee issues for the past few years, ill add one more to that list…”
“I know the risks of what can happen to me and I’m willing to play the odds. #nevergiveup c u 2nite grand rapids.”
Whilst the seriousness of the injury is still unknown, many are starting to question the legitimacy of this so called “injury” to WWE’s top man. It is understood that the segment backstage with John Cena, AJ, and the medical doctors was a planned work from WWE, but the injury is reported to be legitimate, but how severe the injury is could only be minor, with the rest of the talk by John Cena himself and other folks from the WWE all apparently contributing to a shoot involving Cena and Dolph Ziggler. It is a little disappointing that fans don’t know what is real and what isn’t, and wrestling news websites have been working around the clock during the last 24 hours trying to find out more. John Cena is expected to be at the Smackdown taping tonight.
With the recent blow up backstage between John Cena and Vince McMahon, perhaps an injury angle could grant Cena some much needed time away from the business, if only for a month or so.
Is this “knee injury” for real or yet another work from the WWE?
