The WWE results are in for the Elimination Chamber PPV, with fans wondering who won the Elimination Chamber match for 2013? This year’s competitors included Randy Orton, Jack Swagger, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho, and Mark Henry. The winner would become instant #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29.

The Elimination Chamber results saw Jericho and Bryan start things off, with another competitor’s pod opening up to let them into the cell in timed intervals. All six men eventually got into the match without any being eliminated. However, the final entrant was Mark Henry who brought it to his opponents with a rage. He knocked down each guy before eliminating Bryan first with World’s Strongest Slam.

According to PW Torch, Henry would soon eliminate Kane’s tag team partner, Daniel Bryan, for the next contender to get sent out of the chamber. That left him against Jericho, Swagger, and Orton. However, a double team from Swagger and Jericho ultimately allowed Orton to hit the RKO and eliminate Henry from the chamber.

With Swagger, Jericho, and Orton left, a trip to WrestleMania 29 was on the line. Jericho and Orton had an entertaining battle, with a near RKO that Jericho countered. Jericho tried for the Lionsault from the ropes, only to have Orton block it with his knees and then hit the RKO for the elimination. However, the next move surprised fans as it came fast and furious.

Immediately after Orton had eliminated Jericho, an opportunistic Jack Swagger rushed over and did a schoolboy pinfall on Orton. Swagger kept Orton’s shoulders pinned down which was good for the quick elimination. With that, Swagger became the new #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Many fans and WWE analysts saw this one coming, as Swagger has aligned himself with the war veteran manager, Zeb Coulter, and the two have been talking about “border crossers” in their rants in the ring. It seems to suggest they’ll be targeting Mexican wrestler and current World champ, Alberto Del Rio, with future promos they cut on the Road to Wrestlemania.

However, one has to wonder where exactly Dolph Ziggler and the Money in the Bank contract fit into this scenario, as Dolph only has so much time to cash in for the championship match. Will he “steal the show” at WrestleMania 29 in early April?
