WWE Rumors 2013: More Royal Rumble Participants Revealed on Raw

In the latest WWE rumors and news of 2013, the Royal Rumble 30-man match has continued to draw speculation over who will enter and who might win. After last night’s episode of Raw, four more participants dropped their names into the tumbler, vying for a chance to headline at WrestleMania 29. Whether or not those four individuals do so is another question.

Last night’s WWE Raw results in Tampa, FL featured an opening segment in which John Cena talked about the upcoming Royal Rumble. He’s already a participant in the match, along with Sheamus and Randy Orton. All three of them have previously won the big match and earned a grand prize to headline at WrestleMania, in some cases winning a major title in the process.

During Cena’s speech to fire up the crowd, he was interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, AJ Lee and Big E Langston. The trio was there to complain about Cena dumping waste on them last week. AJ also brought up how Cena toyed with her heart and emotions. Not only that, but Dolph Ziggler announced he would be entering the Royal Rumble 2013 edition. His mission: prevent Cena from winning the match. Sounds like a goal that Cena haters will back completely. Could Ziggler also finally cash in that Money in the Bank briefcase to win a title during the Pay-Per-View, or will he keep fans waiting?

The other three participants who named themselves on Raw were Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre of 3MB. They’re mostly famous for gang attacks and in-ring air guitar sessions right now, but claim that one of them will win the Royal Rumble. Although Santino Marella nearly did it years ago, it’s hard to see these jokers pulling off that sort of feat in 2013. If nothing else, they may provide Kane with 3 quick eliminations to add to his ongoing record.

As it stands, that puts the total at seven wrestlers in the Royal Rumble. The event is weeks away but will need 23 more participants to compete for that top prize of a Wrestlemania title match. There were rumors that Undertaker may enter, but it hasn’t been talked about much lately. It wouldn’t be surprising if Ryback and The Shield all get into this one, and all play a part in eliminating each other.

After that, it’s possible a wrestler like Taker or someone else makes their surprise return to WWE. The company is famous for doing that during the match, with the surprise superstar showing up during the last third of the match. Who might it be this year, or will WWE simply stay with the current roster? Will Cena, Sheamus or Orton win the match, or someone else?
