Hell in a Cell is the final hit out before one of WWE’s biggest PPV’s of the year. With that, many fans are predicting, or hoping that a major return will take place during one of the main events at the upcoming PPV and the CM Punk vs Ryback match is the perfect setting. It has been a couple of months since Brock Lesnar was seen, and all year long the strong rumour has been that a booking between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker will be penned down for the main event of Survivor Series. However with recent reports suggesting Undertaker wont be back until around Royal Rumble time, where does that leave Brock Lesnar? It leaves a return at Hell in a Cell and a potential feud with Ryback.
The chances of Brock Lesnar returning to the WWE at Hell in a Cell are very high. With Paul Heyman’s involvement with CM Punk, and the “Paul Heyman guy” saying that seems to be getting a lot of play, Brock Lesnar is also a “Paul Heyman guy” and a return could spark a Paul Heyman Guy Team vs Vince McMahon Guy Team in a match that would not only feature both Ryback and Lesnar, but also the talents of potentially John Cena and Big Show, who would join their respective teams setting up a traditional Survivor Series tag team elimination match.
Another strong likelihood for Brock Lesnar returning is the fact that WWE are releasing a new DVD about Lesnar just a couple of days after the PPV. It is common knowledge now that WWE always put a lot of focus on a particular superstar when something to do with the media, or DVD/movie releases are just around the corner.
A potential feud between Brock Lesnar and Ryback is something that despite being rather unlikely to imagine at the moment, could be a big money main event for one of the biggest and most special PPV’s that WWE put on every year. Both superstars are popular, and have a certain unknown to their character. Other rumours are that CM Punk will shock the world by beating Ryback early in the match at Hell in a Cell, or that Ryback will be mysteriously attacked prior to the match but still make his way to the ring, only to lose, with the PPV going off the air revealing that Brock Lesnar attacked Ryback. WWE Creative have a lot of options with Hell in a Cell and you can guarantee that they will be looking towards Survivor Series with the hopes of creating a bumper main event.
Do you see a potential Brock Lesnar return at Hell in a Cell? Or will some other event take place that will leave wrestling fans reeling?
