On The X Factor USA Tuesday, Rachel Crow took the opportunity on the first of the live shows to lean on her biggest crush: Justin Bieber. Crow paid homage to the guy she says she loves with his song, Baby, while mixing up her dynamic performance with a surprising rendition of the Supremes’ huge 60s hit, Where Did Our Love Go?

Do you sense a theme here?

In any case, as always this X Factor contender was a cutie-patootey while on the Fox talent show’s stage. Donning a plaid jacket, jeans and a pile of curls on the top of her head in a big mess that suited her just fine, the tiny singer (she’s only 13 years old and in ninth grade) gave her all with her huge personality.

Rachel was also given a huge amount of production value backing her, delivered in the way of dancers (some of whom upstaged the main act by doing flips while she sang), flashing lights and a stand of stairs that she walked down to get into the faces of all who were there to listen to Rachel Crow crow.

But not everyone really liked the instruction this X Factor contestant was given by her mentor Simon Cowell.

Paula Abdul said she likes this “awesome” talent so much that she said Rachel could run for president if that what she wants, but this veteran judge felt this talent didn’t shine in the unusual combination of songs she delivered. Nicole Scherzinger, who called Crow “Little Miss Sunshine,” was also not very thrilled with the material from Cowell.

Meanwhile, often mean X Factor judge Simon Cowell defended his girl and the song choices he handed her to grapple. Cowell said he was out to prove that not only is Rachel Crow a pop sensation but she can go retro at the same time, much like the hits recorded by British charttoppers like Amy Winehouse and Adele, who also made their names by crossing over.

With that being said and as this X Factor contender did her thing, do you think Rachel Crow is a huge talent even though she’s still in her teens? Would you buy her album? Thoughts? Thanks.
