On Thursday, March 24th, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were among the many guests at the opening night of, “Le Comte Ory.” The comic opera made its debut at the Metropolitan Opera to an audience that also included Olivia Munn, Claire Danes, Claudia Schiffer, and more.
The Yves Saint Laurent-sponsored event had the guest list wearing gowns from the fashion house. Ashley and Mary-Kate wore their YSL garb with their signature Olsen-twins touch. Mary-KateÂ’s shimmery, sleeveless coat revealed a loose and sheer polka dot dress.

Ashley chose a fitted, calf-length dress. She added an emerald green stole which, puzzlingly, looked strange at some angles and appealing in others. The CFDA Award nominees each carried a beautiful YSL clutch.
Olivia MunnÂ’s black velvet gown had a gold-accented waistband with a bow in the back. OliviaÂ’s hair and make-up looked beautiful and her dress was certainly an improvement from her Genesis Awards outfit. Her black gloves, however, seemed a bit distracting.
Claire Danes attended the event with her husband, Hugh Dancy. Claire chose a one-shoulder dress that skimmed her figure beautifully.
Choosing jewel tones over black were Rebecca Hall and Emmy Rossum. EmmyÂ’s draped, green gown with a lavender belt and matching heels looked gorgeous on the former Met Opera student. Just a little restraint as far as eye make-up was concerned and it would have been perfect. As for EmmyÂ’s jewelry, the actress shared with Luxist (click for photos)Â that they were borrowed from her friend, mom-to-be Ivanka Trump.
RebeccaÂ’s long and lean frame was the perfect canvas for the long-sleeved YSL gown in vibrant orange. The drop waist dress with jeweled belt was a beautiful choice for the British actress.
